Journey to Vitality & Longevity Focused Training
My journey started at 15. I was the skinny kid who woke up at 5 AM just to get to the gym with my mum — mostly on treadmills, intimidated by weights, clueless about form.
Over time I pushed harder. I got strong (especially for my size), became a personal trainer, and bought into the idea that strength and size were everything. But at some point, I paid the price.
During an incline barbell press, something sharp tore in my shoulder—an MRI revealed a labral tear in my left shoulder. I had the surgery. But “fixed” didn’t feel right. My body was stiff, tight, and always in pain. Pain wasn’t just in the shoulder; it showed up everywhere.
Physiotherapists told me some of this was just “how it is now.” I was not willing to accept that. I spent years trying every stretch, mobility drill, and strength protocol—all with limited results. It turned out, forcing mobility made things worse. My body bounced back tighter. Strengthening my already stiff shoulder complex also made things worse.
Then one night, dancing in front of a mirror, I realised the real problem: stiffness, yes—but not just physical stiffness. Neurological. The way my nervous system was protecting me. I’d been avoiding discomfort instead of learning how to move through it.
That moment changed everything. I began to question everything I thought training should be: the obsession with aesthetics and isolated muscles. I discovered movement practices that felt different: myofascial release, rotational work, flow, breathing, repair. I worked with tools and mentors who saw the body more like an ecosystem, not just a machine.
Losing my ability to move freely changed how I think about my body — and how I train it. Today, I train for longevity and vitality. I look at movement through that lens. I want to help people move without pain, feel lit from within, and still live large well past 40, 50, 70. In my 1-on-1 Coaching, I build plans that heal you and strengthen you. In my Myofascial Release Masterclass, I teach you how to release tension, restore mobility, and reconnect with your body.
My vow now is simple: I will never again sacrifice how my body feels for numbers on a bar or vanity in a mirror. I want you to thrive, not just survive. To dance, run, play, and feel alive at 100 and beyond.
